Rainforest Night Walk
When the sun goes down, a different rainforest wakes up. On this three-hour tour, with transport from Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Limón, included, a specialist guide leads you by flashlight along 1.8 km of trails in search of the animals that only come out at night.

Your guide scans leaves, branches and the forest floor for frogs, including the red-eyed tree frog, as well as snakes, kinkajous, coatis, owls, a remarkable variety of insects and, with luck, a margay. These are wild animals, so every night is different, and part of the thrill is never knowing what will appear next.
Flashlights, transportation, fruit and water are included. The walk is rated medium difficulty and runs with a minimum of two participants. Guests must be 7 or older, and under-18s join with an adult.
